♠ 1. Game Setup & Basics
- Players & Deck: Played with 4 players using a standard 52-card deck (no Jokers).
- Dealing: All cards are dealt evenly, giving 13 cards to each player.
-
The Starting Lead:
The player holding the 2 of Clubs (2♣) must play it to start the first trick.
- Turn Order: Gameplay moves clockwise around the table.
♣ 2. Playing a Trick
- Following Suit: You must follow suit by playing a card matching the led suit if you have one in hand.
- Discarding (Sloughing): If you do not have cards of the leading suit, you may discard any card from your hand.
- First Trick Restriction: In the very first turn (led by 2♣), players cannot discard high-value point cards (such as Q♠ or Hearts) unless they have no other legal moves.
- Winning a Trick: The highest-ranked card of the leading suit wins the trick and leads the next card.
♥ 3. Card Point Values
Unlike standard card games, the main goal in Jubmoo is to avoid negative point cards while securing positive ones!
The "Pig" (หมู): The most dreaded card in the game. Avoid winning this card in your tricks!
The "Goat" / "Sheep" (แพะ): Highly prized! Adds 100 positive points to your round score.
Every Heart card is penalty points (A♥=-50, K♥=-40, Q♥=-30, J♥=-20, 2-10♥ = face value).
The "Transformer" (พัด): Doubles your total score for the round (positive or negative!). Worth +50 pts if you have no other point cards.
♦ 4. Special Victory Conditions
- Shooting the Moon (Chuan / ชวน): If a single player captures all 13 Heart cards, their negative score turns positive (+194 points) instead!
- Grand Slam (Big Chuan): If a player manages to collect every single point card (All Hearts + Q♠ + J♦ + 10♣), they achieve a Grand Slam for a massive point bonus!
🏆 5. Winning the Game
Rounds are played continuously until a player hits the loss threshold (e.g., reaching -500 points). At that moment, the game ends, and the player with the highest total score is declared the Jubmoo Master!
